Our Story
About our School
River Bible Institute Netherlands is a part-time Bible School that offers up to three years of study so that you are primed to bring revival to your generation. Revival in you and through you!
You will be prepared for a life in ministry. This can be a ministry within a church, an evangelistic ministry or a strategic position in the secular world. It is a place to be transformed through self-study, powerful teaching, and meetings full of the Holy Spirit.

The River Bible Institute Netherlands is a ministry under the River Foundation with the vision to Raise up Leaders, Revive the Church and Reach the Lost. International Speakers
Pastors & Teachers
Dr. Rodney & Adonica Howard-Browne
Dr. Rodney and Dr. Adonica Howard-Browne are the founders of Revival Ministries International, The River at Tampa Bay Church in Florida, and RBI. Since the 1980’s they have preached the Gospel in many countries and continents.
They have seen thousands of graduate students preaching the Gospel with the demonstrating power of the Holy Spirit wherever they go. Here at the River Bible Institute Netherlands, Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne teaches The Holy Spirit and Gifts of the Spirit. Dr. Adonica Howard-Browne teaches Heart Affairs.
Teacher
Dr. Todd Holmes
Dr. Todd Holmes has been dean of River Bible Institute for over 10 years. Prior to becoming Dean, he was known for his evangelistic campaign sabroad and has pastored several churches across the US. Dr. Todd Holmes teaches God’s word with power combined with the anointing and authority of the Holy Spirit.
The lessons he teaches are The Authority of the Believer and Christ the Healer.

Often these are ministries that have been a true blessing to the Body of Christ for many years, people who travel the world preaching, teaching and demonstrating the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Bible School Curriculum
Year One
Rooted in truth: 12 Courses
The first year is aimed at anyone who longs for more of God and is hungry for a deeper knowledge of the Word of God.
More About Year One
This first year will give you a deeper knowledge of God Himself.
This knowledge will not only be theoretical, but you will experience it practically through the tangible presence of God and the work He will do in the student’s life.
It will lay a strong foundation of the Word of God in the student’s life, a foundation that will last through the years.
This first year is crucial, even if you have known the Lord for years. It is truly a year of transformation in the student’s heart and Christian walk.
Year Two
Leadership: 12 Courses
The second year focuses strongly on developing leadership skills and providing practical tools for ministry.
More About Year Two
There are separate classes for freshmen specifically aimed at fulfilling your calling.
These lessons will equip you with practical knowledge for the ministry itself and the matters surrounding it, as well as sharpening your leadership qualities.
The character of the student will be further developed in this year, the student will learn to preach, and the identity in Christ will be strengthened.
A crucial year for those who want to continue with God and make an impact in the world around them!
Year Three
Stepping out into Ministry
The third year is an internship year in which you do a part-time internship in one of the ministries of the River Amsterdam.
About the Internship
You help in the practical course of business and you learn what the operation looks like in practical terms.
Examples of this are assisting the Multimedia Outreach, helping with the Ministry Office Operations or helping organise Revival Events.
Here the student is given the opportunity to practically apply what he/she has learned in the first two years.
The leadership qualities of the student will also be considerably formed and strengthened during the internship.
First Year Courses
The Holy Spirit
Course Description
A course about the person and the work of the Holy Spirit. Emphasis is placed on fundamental truths that will radically change the lives and ministry of the students.
Students will discover in a great way who the person of the Holy Spirit is – and how to walk in His power and presence every day.
Authority
Course Description
The Believer’s Authority
This is a practical course on the topic; ‘The Authority of the Believer’, in accordance to the Word of God. From the Bible, we will discover truths from the book ‘The Believer’s Authority’ by Kenneth E. Hagin, bringing this amazing topic to life.
Soul Winning I
Course Description
This is a course to fulfill the Great Comission. Each student will experience the joy of leading others to Christ and being effectively equipped to have an impact in his/her world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Students will also become acquainted with followup techniques to build new converts to be disciples.
Faith
Course Description
This course is a study of faith. The following topics will be discussed in this class:
Faith Defined – How Do We Get Faith – What Does It Mean to Believe with the Heart – Confession – Overcoming Faith – Enemies of Faith – God’s Kind of Faith – Faithful Prayer – Keys for Developing Faith.
Healing
Course Description
The focus of this course is in two different areas:
1. To show from the scripture that it is God’s will to heal all today.
2. To bring clarity on certain Bible passages where misconceptions about healing exist.
Stewardship
Course Description
Stewardship is a widely discussed topic in the Bible. Jesus talked a lot about it and it is very important for your life today that you learn to be a good steward of what God has given you, especially in your finances.
In this course we will look at various Bible texts on this topic and this will give you a good foundation for your own life and ministry.
Ministry of Helps
Course Description
The ministry of helps is a crucial service for the proper functioning of the local church, which is often overlooked.
This course will provide Biblical insights about this ministry in relation to the local church.
The course will be taught with the principles of God’s Word in relation to fulfilling the vision of the local congregation.
Matters of the Heart
Course Description
In this class we will learn about the Believer’s heart and the importance of his/her Christian walk.
The course will show you how to develop your heart and what it means to keep your heart above all that is to be kept.
Christian Lifestyle
Course Description
What is a Christian Lifestyle? What does a pure and holy life look like? The letters of Paul explain what God expects of His children.
In this course these letters will be studied, and the student will be challenged to live a pure and powerful life, as God intended.
Revival
Course Description
This course looks deeply at revivals and revivalists of the past.
All the great revivals from history have begun with revivalists who were hungry for God to see a change in their country or region.
The Gospels
Course Description
Students will gain a thorough understanding of the gospels and their history in this course.
They will also see the life and ministry of Jesus in a way that it applicable in their every day life.
Authority & Submission
Course Description
The student will learn how submission and authority are a part of daily life.
Wisdom will be shared, based on the book ‘A Tale of Three Kings’, and from the teacher’s personal experiences.
This course will give the student a foundation to walk daily in these truths.
Second Year Courses
Bible Doctrines
Course Description
This course places a strong foundation on Biblical doctrines that will keep the student anchored in truth in times of deception.
Gifts of the Spirit
Course Description
This is a study course on the gifts of the Holy Spirit according to 1 Corinthians 12.
Students will learn the Biblical foundation for the purpose, the source, and the functioning of the Gifts in the life of the Believer.
Homiletics
Course Description
In this course the student is equipped with the art of preaching. The student will learn to organize, prepare his notes and thoughts, and to formulate a powerful message that touches the hearts of people.
Leadership
Course Description
This course will lay the foundation for Biblical principles of leadership. There is a great need for strong leaders.
Leaders are formed, not born. Therefore, it is very important to see what the Bible says about leadership and to learn from Biblical examples of strong, serving leadership.
New Creation Realities
Course Description
When someone is born again, everything changes. The Bible gives many truths about having a new Identity in Christ.
In this course, the student will discover these truths and learn how to walk in this identity in Christ.
Biblical Covenant
Course Description
A powerful study in the different Biblical covenants. How did they start, what are their meanings and implications, and what does it mean for our lives today?
History of Revival
Course Description
This course is a representation of the history of Christianity since the beginning of the Church.
Emphasis will be placed on the Charismatic / Pentecostal movements that have arisen since the Book of Acts, and throughout history that are still present until today.
This course will also provide insight into the ongoing movement of the Spirit in the life of the church, highlighting current movements.
Missions / Soul Winning
Course Description
Missions
The call and price of a life in Missions. The world’s distress is great, and God still calls people to this life of missions.
Even for those who will never put a foot outside the Netherlands, this is an important course to discover the heart of God for the world, and to be equipped to be a part of the work God does on the earth at this time.
Soul Winning II
This course is both theoretical and practical. In the first year, a foundation is laid. In the second year this foundation will be strengthened, and the student will be further equipped to be a powerful witness in their daily life.
Call of God
Course Description
This class places strong importance on the Call of God and on your life and how God equips you.
We also have a detailed look at the Five – Fold ministry and how it functions in the local church.
Prayer
Course Description
This is a profound study of prayer. The following subjects will be studied in this course: The Purpose of Prayer, Weapons of Prayer, Power Through Prayer, Getting Answers by Prayer, The Essence of Prayer, The Need for Prayer.
Faith II
Course Description
This course is designed to give the student a strong Biblical basis in faith and to anchor the lifestyle of faith in the student.
The Minister's Family
Course Description
Your family is your first ministry. The Bible also has a lot to say about how to have a full and Biblical family life.
In this course we dive deeper so that the student can live his life according to Biblical principles and have a blessed and fruitful family life.

Bible School Staff
founders
Ben & Jacky Kroeske
Ben and Jacky are the founders and deans of the River Bible Institute Netherlands. They met at the River Bible Institute in Tampa, Florida. They got married and then worked for 6 years for the ministry Revival Ministries International. During that time they heard the call of God and received the vision for the Netherlands burning in their hearts.
In 2015 they founded the River Bible Institute Netherlands and since then they have trained hundreds of believers from all over the Netherlands through the Bible school to fulfill their God-given destiny. With the fire of God in their hearts, they give themselves fully to the mission of reaching the lost, building the church and raising new leaders. They have two children, Juliana and Liam.

David Gasser
Originally being from Switzerland, David moved to Tampa Florida, USA where he joined the full-time 3 year River Bible Institute, of which he gratuaded in 2016. David came to Amsterdam in 2017 to join the ministry team of the River in the Netherlands. David serves full time in the the Bible School and the other ministries.
Administrator
Michelle Schmidt
Michelle is originally from Denmark and studied for some time at the full time River Bible Institute in Tampa, Florida. Upon returning to Europe she got connected to RBI and moved to Amsterdam. Having a strong administrative and organisational background, she serves as the Bible School Coordinator and Administrator.
